Everything you can text it.

There's nothing to learn and no commands to memorize — but a few phrases do more than you'd guess. Here's the whole vocabulary, with the exact words to send.

Everything below goes to +16282872836.

Log a meal from a photo

Send a photo of your plate. An estimate comes back in seconds, and you say whether to keep it.

📷 (photo of your lunch)

🍽️ Looks like ~42g protein, ~610 kcal — grilled chicken bowl. Reply "yes" to log it.

yes

Logged ✅ ~42g protein. You're at ~88g today.

Tired of confirming? Text "don't ask" and meals log the moment they're estimated. "Ask first" switches back.

Only ate part of it

Half a portion is half the numbers. Say so in the caption, or after the fact — either way the whole meal is scaled for you.

📷 (photo of a ribeye) — "half of this"

🍽️ Looks like ~36g protein, ~450 kcal — ribeye steak (half of it). Logged ✅

I only ate half of that

Updated ✅ now ~36g protein, ~450 kcal (half of it).

Halves, thirds, quarters, two thirds, three quarters — "a third of it", "1/2", "¾ of this" all work. Point at the photo ("half of this") and it scales what you sent; name a food instead ("half a ribeye") and it gets estimated as its own portion.

No photo? Just say it

Describe the meal in plain words and it gets logged the same way. Free and unlimited — no photo needed.

just had 2 eggs and a coffee

Protein is on by default. Turn on anything else you care about, and set the targets you want measured against.

set my protein goal to 150

Done — protein goal set to 150g/day. 💪

track sugar

Done — I'll include sugar in every estimate from now on.

stop showing calories

Got it — I'll leave calories out of your estimates.

Calories, carbs, fat, saturated fat, and sugar can each be switched on or off — by text or in Settings on the web.

Check a meal without logging it

Caption a photo "analyze" to see the numbers and keep them out of your log, or "scan" to decide after you've seen them.

📷 + "analyze"

🍽️ Looks like ~28g protein, ~430 kcal — turkey sandwich. Analysis only — not logged.

A few honest notes

Every number is an estimate — a good one, but a guess from a photo or a sentence, not a measurement. It's for general tracking, not medical, health, or nutritional advice, and it won't tell you what to eat.

Photo scans have a monthly allowance that resets on the 1st. Logging meals in words, asking about your totals, and everything on the web stay free and unmetered.

Your day, history, and trends live at your Meal Log. Anything you can fix by text you can also edit there — and Support covers the rest.
